Keith Brown Sr

Family is an important part of what we do here, and Keith is the son of Hall of Famer Bill Brown. He and brother Dale got to race against their father in the mid-1970s. He finished 10th in the standings in 1974 and 7th a year later. He won 11 Main Events in Sportsman competition.

Car owner or Rich Richards had built a reputation as one of the more competitive Late Model team owners in the 1980s, and the seat became available in his ride in 1989. Keith finished 8th that season after missing a few early races.

A year later, he finished 5th for the first of the two consecutive seasons. Brown ended up 9th and 1992. The team decided to field both a Late Model and a Modified In 1992. Keith finished third in the Modified point race and bears the distinction of being the first driver to win Main Events in a Late Model and a Modified in the same night.

Following a 5th place season in 1993, Brown ranked Top 10 from 1994 through 1997 and was 5th again in 1998. He had his best Antioch Modified point season in 2002, ranked second, and he finished 5th a year later.

During his decorated career, he won over 30 combined Main Events, including 18 wins in the Modifieds and two victories in the Late Models. The Brown family Is in their third generation as Keith's son Keith Brown Jr has competed in several divisions at Antioch and now compete in Arkansas, his Brother in law Gary Michaelson also ran modifieds along side Keith and his nephews Brian and Brent Curren are past champions at Antioch Speedway
